Memorial Scholarship
The Haysi High School Class of 1961 Memorial Scholarship benefits students graduating from Haysi High School in Haysi, Virginia. It was established during their 40th reunion in September, 2001. The class members wanted to honor fellow deceased classmates, as well as to create a way to memorialize those who die in the future.
Haysi High School Memorial Scholarship Fund is a fund under the Watauga County Community Foundation and the North Carolina Community Foundation, one of many community foundations which are transforming our nation and our neighborhoods through the power of philanthropy.
Haysi High School is one of three high schools in Dickenson County, Virginia, a southwestern Virginia county bordering Kentucky in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. It is located about 15 miles from The Breaks Interstate Park. All donations are tax deductible. Checks may be made out to the Haysi High School Class of 1961 Memorial Scholarship Fund and mailed to:
